Kyle and Dennis, reminiscent of their “Lion’s Waltz” photo, are this time holding 500 year old instruments while in Portsmouth, England at the Mary Rose Trust.  Kyle is holding what is probably the oldest violin in existence, found on the recovered Mary Rose, King Henry VIII’s famous ship which sank 500 years ago. Dennis is holding a Still Shawn. They were honored to be allowed to visit the treasures and hold them, under the watchful eye of members of the Mary Rose Trust.  Both Dennis and Kyle were permitted to play on replicas of the instruments the next day.  Kyle had just returned from his trip to Thailand and Dennis had just returned from Kenya. Il Fait Beau is due to be released in May, 2010.

Standing Room only in the Capitol!

“We wanted to offer you one last opportunity to enjoy the talents of Kyle Dillingham and his chamber orchestra on the 5th floor. As Kyle is being recognized for his artistic contributions to the state, he felt it important for today’s event to present his two major Oklahoma collaborative projects. One you have already heard. But, as an ambassador, Kyle has also represented Oklahoma education in over 30 countries. Now, he is realizing his own educational passion of using music and storytelling to engage students in the joy of learning a foreign language, in this case French. He is collaborating with foreign language expert, Dr. Dennis Dunham, to launch the new Oklahoma based language company, Language and Lyrics, in March 2010. Their first series is a 10 CD set which simulates the feeling of a Broadway Style musical written in beginning level French. Today, Kyle will perform one song with the Female star of the production, Marie-Anne Baissac. The words in English go, “If I kiss you, I will love you, if I love you, I will want to marry you.”
